Postpartum anxiety disorders symptoms can include the following: panic attacks, hyperventilation, excessive worry, restless sleep, and repeated thoughts or images of frightening things happening to the baby.

Birth trauma refers to the emotional and psychological injury experienced during or after childbirth. There is often a great deal of loss connected to these experiences.

Perinatal OCD
Perinatal OCD consists of a cycle of obsessions and compulsions (repetitive behaviors or thoughts that a person uses to try to get rid or alleviate the anxiety caused by the obsessive thought. With perinatal OCD, these obsessions and compulsions tend to focus on the unborn or newborn baby.
